Tremadog

Madog Quads are located in a rural setting and you may wish to visit the surrounding countryside and it's stunning mountains and beaches. The village of Tremadog (birthplace of Lawrence of Arabia) is half a mile away. Not only is it of architectural significance in Wales, but it also has an award winning restaurant (Y Sgwar) and pubs popular with both locals and visitors alike.
Tremadog offers not only a relaxing environment, but also parodoxically a vibrant nightlife at weekends!
For music lovers and visiting musicians there is a live acoustic music session held every second and last Tuesday night of the month starting around 9.00pm in pubs around Tremadog and Porthmadog, and the 1st Sunday afternoon of the month from 3.00 - 7.00pm at the Ship Inn, Porthmadog. The Session also plays at other pubs in the locality, and further details can be found at - http://musicbars.co.uk or Facebook - travelling sessions
Plenty of accomodation can be found within the village. The Madog Hotel offers both luxury and standard rooms. The Golden Fleece (part of the Madog Hotel) also offers the same standards. There is also the Snowdon Lodge (birthplace of Lawrence of Arabia) and the Ty Newydd Guest house within Tremadog. More holiday accomodation in Tremadog can be found on the internet.
Apart from the pubs etc, Tremadog also boasts a village store and Post Office, an award winning chip shop, beauty salon, hairdressers (two of), nail bar, a garden centre and other local businesses!

Porthmadog

The town of Porthmadog is approx 1 mile from our site and has a beautiful harbour as well as three narrow guage railways! The Welsh Highland Railway and The Ffestiniog Railway both meet at the station next to the harbour, while the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway can be found at the other end of town opposite the Main line station.
Originally built as a port for the slate industry, Porthmadog now retains a quiet seaside charm popular with visitors, and with the 2011 opening of the bypass is starting to reassert it's place as a popular destination.
